Legal

Terms of service

The terms that apply to using the service.

This is not legal advice. It describes what the product actually does and can be used as a starting point, but assessing your obligations is your counsel's job. The technical claims are documented in detail in the privacy documentation.

The service

Vitrus provides website analytics. The open-source core is Apache-2.0 licensed and you may run it yourself; these terms cover the cloud version.

Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • You confirm you are authorised to measure the sites you add.
  • Obligations toward your visitors (notice, and consent where required) remain yours.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service for: unlawful content, tracking individuals without a lawful basis, measuring a site without its owner's knowledge, or deliberately loading our infrastructure.

Quotas

Every plan has a monthly event limit. Going over does not cut you off immediately: data keeps flowing inside a 20% grace band with a warning in the dashboard. Once that is exhausted new events are rejected, and the rejected count is shown to you.

Payment and cancellation

  • Payments are processed by Paddle, acting as merchant of record.
  • You can cancel at any time. The plan drops to Free and your data is not deleted — we do not practise lock-in.
  • For refunds on an unused period, get in touch.

Service level

Free and paid plans carry no written SLA; the service is provided as-is. Enterprise agreements can define one. We recommend keeping your own backups — self-hosted, that is entirely on you.

Changes

If these terms change materially we email the address on your account.
